Wedding Video

I was doing my daily blog checking of other photographers and the lovely Candice over at The Beautiful Mess posted some photos on her facebook page. She linked the videographer that worked at one of her recent weddings and I had to check them out. I know I’m a crier when it comes to weddings that are my friends and my clients, BUT to actually tear up at someone’s wedding whom I don’t know… that credit goes to the amazing videographer and their ability to capture the raw emotion.

You have to check them out, they will TRAVEL too πŸ™‚ Photography is a wonderful way to document your wedding day, but why not a video as well to have forever and ever?

I wish I could insert one of their videos to play here, but I’m not that internet savvy! Even if you aren’t looking for a videographer right now, please go check out their work. It’s absolutely incredible!

Happy Friday!!!

Fall Sessions

I’m about to say this and I can’t believe it myself… it’s the first day of fall. How does this day always seem to approach so quickly, and disappear just as fast? I guess this means we are closer to a few of my favorite things… Halloween, My Birthday and Christmas!! Β 3 of the best Fall holidays if I say so myself!

This also means it’s time for the annual holiday cards to be sent out! November 15th will be the cut off date to be sure to receive your images and materials for Christmas, so book your session as soon as possible! Discounted sessions are available if you schedule your session for a weekday morning OR monday/friday evenings!

Happy 1st Day of Fall!!! πŸ™‚

My Best Friend’s Wedding

It’s already been a whole week since my best friend Pamela got married, almost a week to the exact moment that we were getting ready to walk down the aisle. It all goes by so fast, I think we should do it all over again… it was that much fun! I didn’t get to take as many photos as I wanted because it was quite the busy day, but Brooke managed to grab my camera for some shots at the rehearsal that I couldn’t help post. We had the groom’s dinner on the Thursday night before the wedding, which was the BEST idea, people got to enjoy themselves and really relax. Billy’s parents put on an amazing pig roast, with a huge pig… poor babe, but it was really good, I’ve never seen a real life pig roast before! Scott was quite the chef, how do you even know how to do something like that??? πŸ™‚

Saturday the 12th, the wedding festivities began! Their wedding and reception were at Oak Ridge out in Chaska, it was a fabulous venue and the weather held out.. THANK GOODNESS! Their wedding day felt like an episode out of Friends, which is completely fitting since we are all positively obsessed with that show. Billy’s best friend Greg officiated the wedding, I couldn’t have imagined it any other way… there weren’t many dry eyes in the house after the things he said about Billy and Pam. It was beautiful! After the ceremony, the bridal party ran to the other side of the building to do some quick fun picture with Kelly, as we were doing a group jumping shot all you hear is this big “RIPPPP”… Greg jumped so high and attempted to do the splits that he ripped his pants straight down the middle. I mean, you just can’t make that stuff up! We finally made out way into the dinner, dancing our way through to “I Gotta Feeling” by The Black Eyed Peas. I couldn’t eat I was so nervous for my speech, Courtney and I just kept looking at each other being like can we do them now? Is it time? Well… Courtney gave her fabulous speech, which made me even me nervous, oh man I have to follow that? I stood up, began speaking… and well of course started crying.. big ol’ blubbering Ashley tried to make it through the rest of the speech without crying… well psh that didn’t happen. It was literally a friends moment as a squeaked my way through the last little bit. BUT.. I did it πŸ™‚ The rest of the night was spent on the dance floor or in the photobooth! It could Β not have been a more perfect wedding for Pamela and Billy, I’m so honored to have been a part of it. I love you both so very much, so here are just a couple of pictures from the days… like I said, I didn’t have my camera out too much, surprisingly πŸ™‚

Photo Booth!

My best friend Pamela got married this past weekend and we set up a photo booth for their reception! It was such a blast, many thanks to Kelly for being the fabulous woman behind the camera! For once, I got to be the one in front of the camera, which was so different! Β We had such a blast, I personally think it’s such a neat idea to have at your wedding… gives your guests something fun to do during cocktail hour or when they aren’t on the dance floor! Here are some of the favorites so far and there will be more of Pam & Billy’s wedding up later this week. πŸ™‚

Kalah Turns 3!

Oh blog, how much I’ve missed you! I know, I know… it’s been over a week since my last update but it’s with good reason. My best friend is getting married on Saturday and we’ve been in wedding overdrive! Almost everything is done and ready to go, it’s going to be absolutely perfect! Let’s just hope I can get myself together enough to give my Maid of Honor speech… yikes!

On to the more important topic of the post, Kalah! I can’t believe it’s already been a year since our last session, she’s grown up so much in that time… 2 years old to 3 years old is such a change! She’s becoming such a little lady with those beautiful blonde locks and baby blue eyes, seriously Mom you’re going to want to watch our when she’s older πŸ™‚ We spent our time at Kalah’s grandparents land with all the horses, kitties and apple trees. It was a perfect way to spend a Tuesday evening! By the way, Kalah is such a rockstar with her horse, she won so many medals and trophys at the Carver County Fair, I couldn’t believe it! Way to go K! πŸ™‚
