The new blog officially launched today, no it wasn’t an April Fools joke, it’s TRUE!!!
Come over, take a look and let me know what you think. All posts from this point on will be located on the NEW blog 🙂
Just a quick note to let you all know I will be out of the office from Wednesday March 3-Wednesday March 10 because I will be in VEGAS!!! 🙂 I’m heading out there for a few different reasons… first is Tamara Lackey and Audrey Woulard‘s Photography workshop. I’m so unbelievably excited and nervous because I look up to these women more than they could ever know. Second, my mom’s birthday is on Thursday so we are going to do some celebrating with a few shows including Cirque de Soleil and the Jersey Boys! Lastly, I’ll be attending WPPI for the first time and I’m so overwhelmed. There are so many great photographers speaking and parties galore, I don’t even know where to start. When I come back, I may need a vacation from this vacation with all the information overload 🙂
Hope you all have a great week and I’ll be returning e-mails on Thursday March 11.
One of my brother’s best friends Matthew is doing tremendous things out in Boulder, Colorado where he is attending the University of Colorado – Boulder. He is heading up a team for Relay for Life called The Sundance Kids. I could not be more honored and proud of what he’s doing to find a cure for Cancer and I know my brother would be so proud of him too!
Looking at these pictures reminds me how badly we need to find a cure so families don’t have to experience what we’ve had to. Head over to Matt’s fundraising page and donate if you can, my parents have offered to MATCH the donations Matt raises… so if he raises $1000, they’ll donate $1000. Which means we’re just that much closer to finding a cure for Cancer! 🙂
I’ve never been a huge Valentine’s Day person, some people call this a Hallmark holiday I’m usually the one who is declaring Singles Awareness Day! As I was thinking about the upcoming holiday, I remembered one of my first Valentine’s Day with a boyfriend. I’ll take you on a little trip back in time to 7th grade, my best friend Molly and I were dating guys who were also good friends. We were so excited for our double date, my boyfriend’s mom drove all four of us in her minivan to the Excelsior Dock movie theater so we could go see The Wedding Singer. I remember laughing a lot, especially when Molly said afterwards, “I can’t believe he put his hand on my knee!” Still makes me laugh. But the thing I’ll never forget is the card I got from him that Valentine’s Day. It was nothing sappy or lovey-dovey; it was simple, cute and memorable. This must be why I still have it and every time I stumble upon it I think of that day in 7th grade when two hopelessly romantic girls went on a double date with those two great guys and I can’t help but smile 🙂
No matter your relationship status, I hope you’re enjoying your Valentine’s Day!!!
I can’t wait to see this movie, star studded and looks amazing! McDreamy, McSteamy AND Bradley Cooper all in one movie, sign this girl up! 🙂
Happy Monday everyone! Emily and I are hanging out in a hotel room in Missouri watching The Bachelor and trying to process all that we learned today! We attended Heather Cole’s Playshop, and oh my word I can’t even begin to describe how awesome it was! My brain is overflowing with all that she taught us, I am so excited to get home tomorrow and look through all our pictures from today! Our models were GORGEOUS, so there will be some great images to share! It will be an interesting drive back from Missouri, so mother nature if you’re listening, will you please stop snowing? Thanks 🙂
So those who are waiting for sneak peeks, they will be up after I get back tomorrow! Hope you’re enjoying all that BEAUTIFUL snow up there 🙂
*Update: One picture of our GORGEOUS couple Danyelle and Josh
One of my business goals for 2010 was to get going on branding and set up a new blog/website, and guess what?! It’s all coming together, everything will be ready to go sometime in February and I can’t wait to share it with you! So although there haven’t been many posts lately, I’ve been working on getting the “fun” business stuff done… a little behind the scenes work I’ll call it 🙂
Next week I’ll be announcing more about Spring booking specials, make sure you check back because it will be a limited time offer!
And posts are always better with a picture, Miss Paisley in the midst of her crying… I still think it’s adorable 🙂 Happy Thursday!
A new year is a time for resolutions and setting goals people hope to accomplish in the next 365 days. I always set goals for the new year and always seem to forget about them come March, but this year I’m determined to do it differently! I have lots of goals I want to accomplish but I thought I’d start with one Dane Sanders‘ shared on his twitter the other day. He had a link to someone who read 52 books in 52 weeks, yes that’s a book each week for a year! I thought “I like to read, I definitely don’t read enough… why not?” So that’s my first goal for 2010! I think I chose the BEST book to start my 52 in 52 journey with, it’s called The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin. If you haven’t heard of it, please go check it out! I just bought it the other day and I have to force myself to put it down! Gretchen writes about her journey to make the little changes in life to increase her overall happiness, it’s inspiring!
If you have any great book recommendations please share them with me, I’ll need many more books to complete my 52 in 52… maybe I’ll even read more! Who knows? 🙂
*Just a few of the books I’ve purchased over the past years, some have been started and never finished… better work on that too!
