One of my brother’s best friends Matthew is doing tremendous things out in Boulder, Colorado where he is attending the University of Colorado – Boulder. He is heading up a team for Relay for Life called The Sundance Kids. I could not be more honored and proud of what he’s doing to find a cure for Cancer and I know my brother would be so proud of him too!
Looking at these pictures reminds me how badly we need to find a cure so families don’t have to experience what we’ve had to. Head over to Matt’s fundraising page and donate if you can, my parents have offered to MATCH the donations Matt raises… so if he raises $1000, they’ll donate $1000. Which means we’re just that much closer to finding a cure for Cancer! 🙂

Last weekend I spent my afternoon with the P family celebrating Gavin’s 1st birthday with all of their friends and family. It was an AWESOME birthday party, Lindsay and Adam left no detail out; the food, drinks, presents and LOTS of guests. We did a few pictures of just Gavin before all the guests arrived and I swear I could have photographed him for HOURS. His smile is infectious and those eyes, oh boy look out girls… we’ve got another heartbreaker 🙂
A little risky business action before the PARTY
Gavin’s aunt and uncle who came all the way from Milwaukee for his birthday party!
The gorgeous P Family
Thanks for having me over Lindsay, Adam and Gavin! It was so great to meet you! 🙂
Meet Clara, just a little over 2 weeks old and she was so alert during our session, she did not want to miss a thing! But I love when babes are awake during our sessions, so we can get some shots of their beautiful eyes. Look at those eyes, awwwww 🙂 Thanks for having me over Pete and Lucas, hope you are getting some sleep!
We had to get a picture with her future college, UMD, she didn’t seem too excited about it 🙂
The proud new parents!

A week ago today I was attending the ever so fabulous Heather Cole’s Playshop in Missouri, a short 7 hour drive from Minneapolis and worth EVERY SINGLE SECOND 🙂 I can’t even begin to express my gratitude to Heather for putting together a Playshop like this, she dished her every secret, advice, workflow… you name it, she shared it! Not to mention those addictive Dove chocolates, which I went out and bought more of as soon as I got home. We had an amazing couple to photograph during the afternoon, they bared the FREEZING cold snow/rain/wind for us, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU Danyelle and Josh!
When Heather told us we’d be photographing Danyelle and Josh later on in the day, I was ecstatic. I had seen their engagement and wedding photos on Heather’s blog and thought they had to be the most gorgeous couple EVER. My friend Pam and I had gushed over their engagement photos, extremely jealous of Danyelle and her beautiful eyes, hair, clothes… okay Danyelle we just love you! Here are some of my favorites from our QUICK session, and can you believe all of these were taking either inside Heather’s garage or out in the front yard. Yeah, she’s just that AWESOME. 🙂
I’ve never been a huge Valentine’s Day person, some people call this a Hallmark holiday I’m usually the one who is declaring Singles Awareness Day! As I was thinking about the upcoming holiday, I remembered one of my first Valentine’s Day with a boyfriend. I’ll take you on a little trip back in time to 7th grade, my best friend Molly and I were dating guys who were also good friends. We were so excited for our double date, my boyfriend’s mom drove all four of us in her minivan to the Excelsior Dock movie theater so we could go see The Wedding Singer. I remember laughing a lot, especially when Molly said afterwards, “I can’t believe he put his hand on my knee!” Still makes me laugh. But the thing I’ll never forget is the card I got from him that Valentine’s Day. It was nothing sappy or lovey-dovey; it was simple, cute and memorable. This must be why I still have it and every time I stumble upon it I think of that day in 7th grade when two hopelessly romantic girls went on a double date with those two great guys and I can’t help but smile 🙂
No matter your relationship status, I hope you’re enjoying your Valentine’s Day!!!
I can’t wait to see this movie, star studded and looks amazing! McDreamy, McSteamy AND Bradley Cooper all in one movie, sign this girl up! 🙂
