Jackson – 9 Months

My best friend and god son are home for the next 2 months before they move to Hawaii, aren’t you all jealous? I wish I could stick them in my pocket and keep them here forever, but I’m really excited to go out and visit them when it’s -40 degrees here in Minnesota. I can’t believe how big he’s getting and how much of a personality he’s developed over the last 3 months! Pam and J came over today, so we could play and I just brought my camera out for a little bit to see if I could get some of his signature looks on camera!

This is his newest scrunch face…. ah it’s so cute!

Abby & Mat – Wedding Day

To me, this wasn’t just a photography job, this was the day Abby was getting married to a wonderful man. Growing up, Abby’s sister and I were great friends, quite inseparable during our middle school days, and I always looked up to Abby as the cool older sister. When she asked me to photograph her wedding, I was completely honored and overjoyed that I would get to share in this special day.  Both Abby and Mat are extremely talented and creative individuals and it showed in all the details of their wedding. They met on the University of Minnesota – Duluth campus a few years back, so it perfect when they decided to have their wedding there.

I almost piddled (yes piddled) with excitement when she told me one of my favorite teacher’s from high school, Mr. Gulner was going to be officiating their wedding. I didn’t think their wedding day could get any more perfect, well I was wrong, when I saw it all put together with all the little details… it was a fairytale wedding fit for Abby and Mat.

Lemonade Stand

Summer is quickly coming to an end and I can’t believe it. We spend 9 months waiting for it to arrive and it always seems to go by so fast… why can’t summer be a little longer and winter a little shorter? Hmph, I guess that’s something that doesn’t happen here in Minnesota! Well a few weeks ago all the kids in the neighborhood decided to do a lemonade stand, it was by far one of the cutest things! They did it all on their own; made the lemonade, got the money box together, gave change… everything! One of the best moments was someone pulled up, asked how much and without hesitating Corey says “50 bucks” 🙂 Needless to say all of us adults started cracking up! The kids actually made a good amount of money and they could have cared less, they were having such a fun time sitting in their chairs and waving to the cars! It was a great way to bring the summer to a close! Check out a few of the pictures from our afternoon 🙂

This was how they flagged down cars, holding up the pitcher of lemonade and yelling (at the top of their lungs)… priceless.

Paloma – Sneak Peek

This weekend I’m heading up to a cabin to celebrate my best friend getting married, well she’s not technically getting married until September. Every bride to be needs a relaxing weekend away with her best girls to celebrate and just have a great time! Before I head out of town I wanted to share a quick image from my afternoon with Paloma this past weekend! I can’t believe how big she’s gotten in 3 months, she’s like this close to crawling full speed and is just as beautiful as ever!

Krista and Ben – Wedding Day

Ben and Krista’s wedding day was absolutely gorgeous, down to every little detail. They are starting a new chapter in their lives in Wisconsin but planned a beautiful wedding here in the Twin Cities. The ceremony took place at Our Lady of Grace church in Edina, then we headed to the St. Paul Academy for their Mexican reception. The reception hall was decked out with Mexican fiesta decor, delicious food and a scrumptious desert table (better believe I hung out near it 🙂

After doing some makeup touch ups, she got to check out her gorgeous self in the mirror… she was glowing!

I can’t take full credit for this picture because their adorable flower girl Camden helped, I held the camera and she got to push the button. I think she’s a natural, don’t you?

Cody, Matt and Scott

The other weekend I met up with this fabulous family of five in Eden Prairie, we toughed it out in between the rain showers and had lots of fun! A little time by the dock, climbing in the trees and lots of races… Mom is definitely out numbered with a family of 3 boys but they are just so adorable! So nice to meet you guys! 🙂 Here’s a little sneak peek!

Anna and Lauren

These beautiful little ladies have been on my blog before and this past weekend Kelly and I got to meet up with them again! We headed out to the Norenberg Gardens for a family session early in the morning and it was absolutely gorgeous! I always know meeting up with Anna and Lauren is going to be a blast, these girls are so full of energy, excitement and tons of giggles!

Jennifer & Adam – Wedding Day

It was an unseasonably chilly day in Minneapolis but that didn’t even phase this beautiful bride. Knowing she was marrying her best friend put a smile on her face every moment of the day. Jennifer & Adam met while working together at a local bar, their friendship quickly blossomed into a relationship and the rest is history! Their wedding took place at a park near their home with their friends and family gathered for a short ceremony and then off to the St. Thomas campus for the reception. I feel so honored to have been a part of Jennifer & Adam’s wedding, I can’t wait to see you both next weekend at Abby & Mat’s wedding! 🙂 I wish you both nothing but the utmost happiness in your lives together!
